NOA (NEoT OffGrid Africa) and Power Leone, Energicity Corp’s subsidiary in Sierra Leone, are proud to announce our partnership. Power Leone will operate the 24 mini grids owned by NOA in Sierra Leone, serving approximately 40,000 customers in rural Sierra Leone with sustainable electricity
NOA’s 24 minigrids were developed in 2019 as part of the Rural Renewable Energy Programme in Sierra Leone, which was funded by grants made available by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office. This project contributes directly to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations. These minigrids are part of Sierra Leone’s ambitious plan to expand rural energy access from <10% to 100% by 2030.
