Energicity Sierra Leone Limited, operating as Power Leone, is a leading renewable energy company committed to providing reliable, affordable, and sustainable electricity solutions to underserved communities across Sierra Leone. This programme is designed to provide practical work experience, professional development, mentorship, and exposure to the renewable energy industry, preparing participants for successful careers in the energy sector and related fields.

Internship Opportunities

We are seeking Female Graduate Interns in the following departments:

1. Finance Unit

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with financial reporting and reconciliations.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Assist in accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Maintain financial records and documentation.
  • Support audit and compliance activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Banking, or related field.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial systems is an advantage.

2. Customer Operations Department

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support customer service and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Assist with customer data management and reporting.
  • Participate in complaint resolution and customer satisfaction monitoring.
  • Support customer education and outreach activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Administration, Communication, or related discipline.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

3. Human Resources Unit

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with recruitment and onboarding activities.
  • Support employee records management.
  • Participate in staff training and development programmes.
  • Assist with HR reporting and administrative functions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Sociology, Psychology, or related field.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

4. Solar PV Engineering Unit

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support solar system design and project implementation.
  • Assist with site surveys and technical assessments.
  • Participate in installation supervision and quality assurance activities.
  • Support maintenance and troubleshooting of solar systems.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Diploma in Renewable Energy Engineering, Solar Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Demonstrated interest in renewable energy technologies.

5. Electrical Engineering Unit

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with electrical system planning and operations.
  • Support maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
  • Participate in distribution network monitoring and optimisation.
  • Assist with technical documentation and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Knowledge of electrical power systems is an advantage.

6. Market Development Unit

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support market research and customer acquisition activities.
  • Assist in developing marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives.
  • Participate in community engagement and stakeholder outreach programmes.
  • Support data analysis and reporting on market trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Development Studies, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

7. Metering Unit

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of electricity meters.
  • Support meter reading, data collection, and validation activities.
  • Assist in investigating meter tampering, energy theft, and technical losses.
  • Support customer meter inspections and audits.
  • Maintain metering records and prepare operational reports.
  • Assist in troubleshooting metering-related issues and ensuring accurate billing data.
  • Participate in field visits and customer engagement activities related to metering services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Physics, or related technical field.
  • Knowledge of electricity metering systems, electrical installations, and energy management will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to work in both office and field environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.

General Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be female Sierra Leonean nationals.
  • Have completed a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or any recognised higher institution within the last three (3) years.
  • Have achieved a minimum of Second Class Lower Division or equivalent.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Show a commitment to learning and professional growth.
  • Be willing to work in urban and rural operational areas where required.

Duration
